Electronic equipment

Before coming to Poland you should take care about your electrical equipment. During the internship you will need your computer and mobile phone.

Powerplugs and sockets

Keep in mind that if you come from outside Europe you will probably have to buy chargers or adapters that will fit Polish standards of AC powerplugs and sockets. The sockets are generally compatible with the CEE 7/16 Europlug as well as the corresponding plug type. The Europlug has two pins 4 mm diameter spaced 18.5 mm on centers at the base. The pins are slightly flexible, which allows the Europlug to fit several types of CEE standard sockets.

You can also buy it in Poland in shops like Saturn or Mediamarkt.

Polish SIM card

After your arrival you will get a SIM card with a Polish phone number. That is why you should make sure that your phone does not have a SIM lock. A SIM lock,  simlock, network lock or subsidy lock is a capability built into mobile phones by mobile phone manufacturers. Network providers use this capability to restrict the use of these phones to specific countries and network providers.
It is best if your phone has a regular SIM card slot.

Micro and nano sim cards are getting more popular in Poland so remember it is not a rule.
