01

What should I do and what documents do I need if I need a visa to come to Poland?

As soon as you get accepted, we will send you an Invitation Letter. Then you need to make and appointment and go to your embassy to get a visa. But remember to do it as soon as possible beacause the whole process takes some time. Exact requirements vary for each country and you ought to check them on the website of Polish embassy in your country or even call them if you want to be sure.

02

Will somebody be waiting for me at the airport or station?

Yes, of course. You will have a Buddy - a person, who will take care of you during your stay here and pick you up from the airport. We will also try to make a welcome comitee for You. Of course - as soon as you send us exact information about the time of your arrival earlier enough.

You will be living with a Polish host family, with some AIESEC members or with other interns in a flat. Every week you would change the place of stay. Even though you can always leave your staff in your Buddy's place, while you are travelling. You will be informed about a type of accommodation few days before changing - by online spreadsheet.

I want to make a budget for my internship, so how much it will cost for 6 weeks in Poznan in your opinion?

Here you can find a simple calculation of the cost of living in Poznań. In fact in some shops you can find lower prices than that. It really depends on how you are going to spend your money, for example whether you will prepare your food yourself or go to a restaurant everyday. From my experience 700 - 800 zł a month is enough to cover the expenses of food, cosmetics, entertainment (everything except for rent).

In some shops you can pay in euro but it’s not recommended bacause it’s unprofitable. You can check all the prices here: http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Poland

06

Is there one ticket for all kinds of vehicles in a public transport? Do foreigners have a discount for the public transport?

Yes, there is one ticket for all kinds of transport in Poznan area. You have a discount for the public transport but you need to have an ISIC card (international student card), you can have the card done here - to do it you need to take your photo (ca 28cm x 35cm) and your student card. More infos here: http://www.isic.org/

07

"Trainee will sometimes move to schools in other cities." So will the transport cost be covered if it is needed by project?

Yes, transportation outside the city is provided and coverded by the school. Nevertheless, we do not cover costs of public transport within the city of Poznań. If you have ISIC card you have 50% discount though.
