Poznan by air

Poznan has one passengers airport - Ɓawica Henryk Wieniawski Airport (POZ),  which is located only 7 km from the city centre and is easily accessible by public bus 59 (from a stop between Kaponiera Crossing and Sheraton Hotel - approx. every 25-30 minutes - travel time approx. 22-24 min.) and fast line L (from the Main Railway Station and as well from Sheraton - approx. every 45 minutes - travel time approx. 18-20 min). Poznan by train

The Railway Station Poznan Glowny is located in the city centre, very close to the Fair Grounds MTP and Dworcowy Bridge. Station in Poznan has two main buildings - new (in the picture above) and old (in the picture below). New building has entrances from Dworcowy Brigde and from platforms  1-3.

The old building has only one entrance called Western Entrance , enabling you to go toward the Fairs and to the Palm-House.

Short-term tickets are sold in ticket machines, kiosks , some shops and supermarkets, as well as in ZTM Customer Service Points and they have to be validated after entering the tram or bus. The time is counted from the validation. Look where You can find ticket machines:

ï»żsingle ticket

Ticket machines are located in different districts of the city. They accept only cash (both notes and coins).

You can find ticket-machines on board of some buses and trams. Unfortunately they accept only coins.

Long-term tickets need a special electronic card that can be issued only in ZTM Customer Service Points. One of them is located in the building of the main train station PoznaƄ GƂówny. It is open from Monday till Friday between 6 a.m. and 8 p. m.

Prices

Prices of tickets are reduced if you have an International Student Identity Card (ISIC). It is best if you apply for the card even before arrival to Poland because it takes some time to get it. You can find more information here:
